SaaS

In SaaS mode, Octopize runs the platform for you on Scaleway. There is nothing to install.

Before you start

• Your users can reach the platform over HTTPS (port 443).
• The octopize.io domain is allowed by your email and antispam filters: account setup and password reset links are sent from it.
• Your users have a recent browser, with JavaScript enabled.

Getting access

There are two ways in. Both lead to the same platform; they differ in the license your organization gets.

Self-service

To try Avatar on your own:

1. Create an account with your work email address, or click Sign up on the login page.
2. Confirm it from the email you receive, and choose a password.
3. Log in at www.octopize.app.

A self-service account starts on the Free Trial license: 30 days and 10 credits. To keep going after that, contact Octopize to move your organization to a paid plan.

For your organization

When your organization subscribes through Octopize's sales team:

1. Octopize creates your organization, with the license you subscribed to, and its first admin account.
2. The admin receives an email with a link to set their password. The link expires after a while: ask support for a new one if needed.
3. The admin logs in at www.octopize.app and invites the rest of the team.

Using the API

The API is served on the same domain as the web client, under /api: https://www.octopize.app/api. For scripts, use an API key rather than an email and password.

Roles

• User: creates and manages their own datasets and avatarization jobs.
• Admin: everything a user can do, plus managing the organization's user accounts.
